Hubert Cillion Harris

Hubert Cillion Harris, our beloved husband, father, brother, father-in-law, grandfather, and uncle passed peacefully at home in Axtell, Texas on October 31, 2024, with his family and faithful dogs at his side.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 16, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas with Reverend Timothy Vaverek officiating.

Hubert was born to Printist and Virginia Harris in Rotan, Texas, one of ten children. His dedication to his loving wife, Gwen, and his two children, Michele and Steve, was obvious in all he did. He was a staunch defender and lover of animals, often rescuing those who needed a good home. Hubert was never without a faithful dog at his side. Never knowing a stranger, he was known for his honesty, integrity, and exceeding generosity for those in need.

Hubert was preceded in joining the Lord by his parents, Printist and Virginia Harris; siblings, Mary Daniel, Tommy Harris, Bill Adair, and LaWayne Harris; niece, Karen Bottorff; and nephew, Jimmy Harris. 

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Harris; daughter, Michele Daub; son-in-law, John Daub; grandchildren, Wade, Fiona, and Aaron Daub; son, Steven Harris; grandchildren, Adrian Castillo, and James Hahn; brother, Walter Harris; sisters, LaRue Roberts, Louise Wood, Carolyn Smith, and Regina Tumbarello; sisters-in-law, Vicky Harris, Peggy Harris, Barbara Harris, and Susie Clark; brothers-in-law, Jim Moore, Jon Smith, Terry McCombs, and Mike Clark; nieces, and nephews, Debbie Mahoney, Rocky Adair, Lorrie Andrews, Larry Harris, Lynn Harris, Ron Harris, Greg Harris, Sallie Bates, Wes Hillin, Mark Harris, Michael Green, Janelle Green-McCollum, Cindy Watson, Angela Baker, Bennie Snapp Jr., Tonia Snapp, Tammy Wheeler, Rochelle Haby, Angelina Van Wyk, Jennifer Aiello, Jessica Clark; and a glorious abundance of beloved grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.
