MURPHY, IRENE Irene Murphy, age 92, of Waco died Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at a local nursing home. Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 14 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Friday, February 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Murphy was born March 8, 1911 in Bell County. She lived in Waco most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. A. Murphy, a daughter, Bette Young, stepson, Ernest Murphy, and a grandson, Bobby Young. Survivors include daughters, June Martin and husband, Leo of Lake Jackson, Texas and Bonnie Murphy of Waco; stepdaughters, Elsie Bexley and husband, Jim of Huntsville and Joyce Stefka and husband, Bill of Robinson; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and brother, Buddy Wesson of Humble.
