Isabel Rivas April 27, 1929 - January 18, 2021 Isabel "Chavela" Ybarra Rivas gained her wings and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on January 18, 2021, at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Pastor Benji Magnaye officiating. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Chavela was born April 27, 1929, to Damasia Ayala and Herculano Ybarra in Calvert, Texas. Family was everything to Isabel and she was without a doubt the heart and soul of her family, from her huge birthday parties to her annual Christmas party. Isabel would go out of her way to see her family together and happy. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Fred Ybarra, Santos Ybarra, Ramona Silva and Louisa Chapa; and children, Johnny Arias, Ruben Arias, Raymond Arias, Monica Arias, Ralph Arias, Sr., and Herlinda Arias Carrizales. Isabel is survived by her husband, Jesus Rivas; sisters, Juana Rangel, Cecilia Cortez, and Thomasa Morales; sons, Joe Arias, Jr., David Arias, Jesse Arias and Johnny Arias, Sr.; and daughters, Thereza Mata, Gladys Arias, Vangie Arias Marquez, and Louisa Nunez. Isabel is also survived by 45 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren and 59 great great grandchildren.
