December 23, 1923 — September 4, 2001

MOORE, JACK Jack A. Moore, age 77, of Waco went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2001. Services will be 3:30PM Thursday, September 6th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Jon Gartman and Rev. Marion Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, September 5th at the funeral home. Jack was born December 23, 1923 in Teague to Grady and Lou Allie Moore. He grew up on N. 6th St. in Waco. He served in the Armed Guard of the Navy during WWII making 22 trips across the North Atlantic. He married Winnie Mangum on September 5, 1946. He was retired from General Tire after 25 years of service. Jack enjoyed being with his family and arts and crafts. He was an active member of the Eagle Springs Baptist Church. He was a good father, husband, loving grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Moore and one brother, Benny Moore. Survivors include: His wife of 55 years: Winnie M. Moore of Waco Son: Doug Moore and wife, Kim of Fort Worth Grandchildren: Jackie Laningham and husband, Michael, Jason Cheney and wife, Belinda and Jennifer Cheney all of Waco, Whitney and Travis Moore of Fort Worth Great grandchildren: Blake and Brooke Laningham and Logan and Andrea Cheney Brother: Bobby R. Moore of McGregor Pallbearers will be Boyce Westmoreland, Ray Spradlin, Jason Cheney, Travis Moore, Kenneth Peters, and Michael Laningham. Memorials may be made to Eagle Springs Baptist Church, Children’s Sunday School Class, P.O. Box 71, McGregor, TX 76657 WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
