DEHM, JACK R. Jack R. Dehm, age 74 of Waco died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at a local hospital. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 1pm Monday, December 22 at Oakwood Cemetery with family member, Dr. Bob Patterson officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-4pm Sunday, December 21 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jack was born on May 10, 1929 in Forth Worth and was raised in Waco. He was a strong, yet humble, courageous and independent man who quietly cared for family and friends. He graduated from Waco High School in 1946 and received a BA in business from Texas A & M in 1951. He served his country in Korea and was awarded the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Service Medal by 1953. Jack continued serving his country in the Army Reserve where he received additional citations and retired as Colonel on May 10, 1989. He was a local businessman employed by American Amicable Insurance and later the state. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Jan Dehm of Waco; nieces, Gina Robertson and children of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lisa Dehm and son of San Antonio and Cathrine Cole of Kerrville; nephew, Brian A. Dehm and wife, Lindy and children of Crawford. Also very close to Jack’s heart are cousins, Mildred Hogan of Fort Worth and Mike and Patty Hogan of Graford, Texas and their children.
