BROWN, JACKIE Jackie Brown, age 48, of Prairie Hill died Thursday, February 12, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, February 14 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Friday, February 13 at the funeral home. Ms. Brown was born April 24, 1955 in Texas City to Jack Noral and Fredericka “Polly” Brown. She was reared and educated in Bacliff and graduated from Dickinson High School. She attended College of the Mainland in Texas City. She had been a resident of the area for the past 20 years. She had been employed at L3 for the past 10 ½ years where she received the Tribute of Excellence Award in 2003 and various accolades from the programs she supported. She loved her job, her friends and her family. She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her father, Jack N. Brown, Sr. of Prairie Hill; sons, Bobby Burns, Ben Burns, and Brandon Burns all of Prairie Hill; grandchildren, Taylor Burns and Evan Burns; her companion and friend, Mark Hanna of McKinney; sisters, Pauline Winzer and husband, Cecil of Buda and Mary Young and husband, Dick of Texas City; brothers, Mack Brown and wife, Lou Ann of Dickinson and Jack Brown, Jr. and wife, Laura of Bacliff; beloved friend, Mary Hoepfner of Seabrook; special great aunts, Gene Hill of Cleburne and Frenchie Cross and husband, George of Crawford; many loving friends and co-workers at L3; numerous nieces and nephews; and The Ya-Ya Club and The Wednesday Night On The Border Club. Pallbearers will be David Coody, Bill Beard, Dwayne Hool, Jeremy Nance, Lewis Edinburgh, and Ken Mehringer.
