Jairo Mario Villalba

February 25, 1953 — August 16, 2024

Jairo Mario Villalba, 71, of Killeen, Texas, passed away peacefully Friday, August 16, 2024, at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his family.


Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2903 E. Rancier Ave. Killeen, TX 76543 with Father Gerardo Uribe officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas, where full military honors will be rendered by the United States Army. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.


Jairo Mario Villalba was born in Cali-Valle Del Cauca, Colombia, February 25, 1953, to Jose Ezequiel Villalba and Laura Marietta Cisneros-Villalba. He married Esther Villalba August 5, 1988. He loved home gatherings, barbequing for his wife, children, grandchildren and family. He also loved playing soccer, collecting classic cars, and listening and dancing to his favorite salsa/cumbia music all day. He loved spending time with his family, was always the life of the party, and was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen, Texas.


Jairo Mario Villalba was preceded in death by parents, Jose Ezekiel Villalba and Laura Marietta Cisneros-Villalba; his sister, Carlota Compana; and his brother, Marcelo Villalba.


Jairo Mario Villalba is survived by his wife, Esther Villalba; children, Isarie Rodriguez and husband, Serafin Rodriguez, Darlene Villalba, Mariano Villalba and, Jairo Villalba, Jr. and wife, Jennifer Villalba; his siblings, Raul Villalba, Blanca Pilar Villalba; Jairo Mario is also survived by his grandchildren; Madeleine Janette, Jasmine Isabel, Christian George, Elijah Marcel, Araceli Leiana, Ezequiel Jose, Josiah Maxwell, Laylene Elizabeth, Koa Liam, Luna Marie, Eugene Kieth, Rogelio Jayden, Hugo Jahir, and Andres Jovanni.


Pallbearers are Mariano Villalba, Christian George, Elijah Marcel, Ezequiel Jose, Josiah Maxwell, Serafin R., Rogelio Jayden, and Hugo Jahir. Honorary pallbearers include Eugene Kieth, Koa Liam, and Andres Jovanni.
