Jake Richard August 12, 1929 - March 8, 2016 Jake Richard of Waco went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellmead, with the Rev. Albert Ruiz as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Chaplain Irenka Vlajnic assisting. Rosary will be 6:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Jake was born August 12, 1929, in Hearne, Texas, to Nick and Mary Richard. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Crawford Austin Manufacturing and Fab-Knit. After retirement he worked in the farming industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his niece, Mary Lou Lehde and husband, Darrell, of Waco; and other family members and friends. Pallbearers are Gary Moon, Elmo Haferkamp, Andrew Haferkamp, Tannie Martin Camarata and Fred McCullough. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or Providence Hospice.
