James Arthur Hall

July 31, 1933 — May 3, 2005

Hall, James James Jim A. Hall, 71, formerly of Speegleville currently of Woodway died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Providence Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, at Cogdell United Methodist Church, the Rev. Darrel Phillips and the Rev. Kay Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, from 6 to 8:00 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Hall was born July 31, 1933 in Seguin and graduated from Seguin High School in 1952. He married Frances L. Schneider February 28, 1953, in Seguin and moved to the Waco area in 1966. He worked for General Tire for thirty years as a district salesman. After retiring James worked locally for Bill Harris General Tire and Kendrick Tire Company. Frances preceded him in death in 1996 after forty-three years of marriage. In 2001 James married Ruth Cook Jackson and moved to Woodway. He was an active member in the Speegleville United Methodist Church, Heart O’ Texas Fair Scholarship committee, McLennan County Junior Livestock show, Waco Singles’ Square Dance group, and Sons of Hermann Lodge. James was devoted to his faith and his family. Survivors include his wife Ruth Jackson Hall; children Rodney and Edye Gillen-Hall, Cindy and Eddie Coats, Stephen and Cheryl Hall, Clayton and Charleen Hall, Cathy and Jody Wood, Janna and Scott Short, Scott and Audra Hall; sister Juanita Luensmann and brother-in-law Arthur Luensmann; and twenty one grandchildren; and in-laws Gloria and Raymond Schwarzlose, Sylvia and Rodney Kelso, Harry Lee and Jenny Schneider, Milroy and Yvonne Schneider, Ray and Claudia Schneider.
