James F. Murphy April 1, 1944 - November 27, 2009 James F. Murphy of Waco passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at his home. Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, at Andrews Cemetery in Karnack, TX. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. James was born April 1, 1944 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana to Frierson and Marie Murphy. He proudly served the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, James Murphy Jr., of Waco; and his daughters, Danielle Carter of Arizona and Polly Fielding of Florida; grandchildren, Amanda Fielding, Robert Stephen Martin, Lindsey Carter, Austin Murphy and Elizabeth Carter. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Featherston, and two brothers, David and Billy Murphy. We love you Dad!
