MUHL, JAMES FRANK James Frank Muhl, 86 of Hallsburg, passed away Wednesday, December 8 at his home. Rosary will be recited Sunday, December 12 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Elk beginning at 2:45 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial following at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. James Francis Frank Muhl was born June 20, 1918 in Waco to Sarah Hopkins and Frank M. Muhl. He played football for Paul Tyson and graduated from Waco High, then attended Texas Western School of Mines on scholarship. After two years he began his electrician’s training, a vocation lasting 65 years. He married Bobbie Duckworth on September 21, 1940 in Houston. After serving aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Steamer Bay in the Pacific Theater in World War II, he returned to Waco with Bobbie at his side. Frank was an electrician, a dairyman, and a homebuilder. Frank was a member of the IBEW for over 65 years, served several terms as president of the Waco local, and trained many young men in the trade. During the latter years of his career, he supervised the electrical construction of power plants in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Michigan. . He was involved in the community of Hallsburg and was instrumental in establishing H&H Water Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, daughter Sarah Muhl Castle, and five sisters – Margaret Zapalac, Josephine O’Neil, Sarah Harris McElligott, Evelyn Sharp, and Frances Muhl. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie; daughters, Mary Mann and husband, James of Elk and Bobbie Jo Anderson and husband, Danny of Lexington; son James Muhl and wife Jill of Waco; grandsons Jimmy Muhl and wife Melinda, Kirk Muhl and wife Hollee, Jamie Mann, Eric Anderson, and Stuart Anderson; granddaughters Megan Mann and fiancée Jimmy Jaska, Cari Mann, Emily Anderson, and Aubry Anderson; great grandchildren Jacob and Haley Muhl and Kylee Muhl. sister Mary Toots Holmes of El Paso; Uncle Buddha is also survived by ten nieces and nephews, many cousins, and honorary grandchild Ethan Dieke. Pallbearers will be Jamie Muhl, Sr, Louis Moncus, Martin Junie Zapalac, O.L. Sharp, Jimmy Holmes, and Mike Sharp. Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie Vickers, Charley Kelly, and Elmer Shepperd.
