James Kenneth Pate

James Kenneth Pate passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 13 at Rosemound Cemetery.

James was born November 18, 1948, in Waco, to James and Ethel Elizabeth Pate. James was a 1967 graduate of Richfield Hight School. He was in the USAF for four years at Korat AFB, Thailand, where he met the love of his life, and served in the Army for 19 years, retiring as Major. He was the Aide de Camp for the commanding General for South Korea in the early 80s. He was commander of the First Calvary Mobility/Transport unit at Ft. Hood and served in the Panama Campaign in 1990.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Toongling "Sue" Pate; sister, Beverly J. Webb; and brother, Gary G. Pate.
