James Lewis Schafer April 7, 1925 - October 21, 2011 James Lewis Schafer of Waco passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at Residence. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, at Waco Memorial Park with Dr. Steve Mansen officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. James was born April 7, 1925, in Baltimore, Maryland to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shafer. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Lola B. Schafer. He is survived by a son, Gary Schafer, Waco; a granddaughter, Lola Pfantz, DeRidder, LA; a grandson, Jay Schafer, DeRidder, LA; a step-granddaughter, Amanda Hancock, Durham, N.C. a great-grandson, Nick Hancock; a brother, Howard M.
