James S. Suttle, Jr. September 20, 1931 - August 4, 2011 James S. Suttle, Jr., of Riesel passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. James was born September 20, 1931, in Delia, Texas, to James S. Suttle, Sr. and Emma Mary Brown Suttle. He graduated from Mt. Calm High School in 1949 and attended Hill College. James was a salesman in the Beauty Supply business and retired from Montgomery Ward after 32 years. He was a 50 year Mason and was a member of Lions Clubs International. He and Gerry married at First Baptist Church of Mart on November 8, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Sarah Frances Suttle; two brothers, Cecil Suttle and Murl Haws; and one sister, Lydia Ann Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gerry, of Riesel; two sons, James Sidney Jim Suttle and wife, Phyllis, of College Station, and Jerry Glen Suttle and wife, Theresa, of West; one granddaughter, Erica Archer and husband, Eric, of College Station; three grandsons, Christopher Suttle and wife, Leah, of San Antonio, and David and Kyle Suttle of West; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Laney Archer of College Station; and numerous nieces and nephews.
