James Lee Clark November 11, 1920 – March 14, 2006 James Jim Clark, 85, of Waco passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. Services will be at 1:30 PM on Friday, March 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park North. Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Clark was born in Rogers, Texas on November 11, 1920. He was the son of John Lee and Lydia Marie Jarma Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Truett, who died in infancy. He married Mary La June Hunt of Temple, TX on June 29, 1943. Jim graduated from Rogers High School in 1938 as class president and a member of the 1937 State Championship football team. He attended college in Dallas before participating in the construction of Fort Hood. He enlisted in and served in the United States Navy for four years. On returning home, he became an instructor at Huaco Tech, one of the first technical schools in Waco. Many of his students became businessmen in refrigeration, as did Jim for over 40 years - opening his own business in 1952, and going into partnership with Bill Blackwell in 1962. He was also a member of Scottish Rite Supreme Council, 33degree. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary La June Clark of Waco; daughters, Jan Lightfoot and husband Mark of Flower Mound, Teresa Clark Hudson of Waco, and son James Lee Clark, Jr. and wife Karen of Waco; grandchildren, Valerie Lightfoot McCarthy, Clark Hudson, Terrie Lynn Hudson Dawson, Phillip Lightfoot, James Cooper Clark, Kennedy Michelle Clark and Jackson Lee Clark. Pallbearers will be James Lee Clark, Jr., Mark Lightfoot, Clark Hudson, Will McCarthy, Reade Dawson, and Horace Beard. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Lightfoot, J.W. Sparks, James W. Clark, Ross Hicks, Charles McDonald and Leonard Gorin. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
