Jamiel Lee January 25, 1927 - January 22, 2007 Jamiel Lee of Hewitt passed away Monday, January 22, 2007. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Rick Mang officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jamiel was born January 25, 1927 in Waco to Fred and Emma Fadal Lee. He and Pawnee Harris were married on August 17, 1968. Together they owned and operated Lee’s Square Drug and Lee’s Department Store. In later years Jamiel was a real estate broker with the Conine Group. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Connie Orsag; nephew, Richard Kenwood Lane; sister, Wilma Lee and brother, Louie Lee. He is survived by his wife, Pawnee of 38 years, son-in-law, Jody Orsag; sisters, Katherine Pearson and Marie Lane and husband, Grady; granddaughter, Carrie Losak and husband, Cameron; great grandson, Colton Losak; nephews, Jerry Don Lane and Jeffrey Scott Pearson; niece, Debra K. Squires and great niece, Christi Lynn Tredemeyer. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Scott Pearson, Johnny Fadal, Jr., Rollin Khoury, Cameron Losak, Leo Freedman and Wayne King.
