Janis Jan Mae Buckberry April 8, 1929 - December 2, 2006 Janis Jan Mae Buckberry of Waco passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Lorena Cemetery with Chaplain Brian Pendleton and Dr. Allan Lane officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jan was born April 8, 1929 in Lorena, TX to Cecil Coke Stroud and Vera Maude Stroud. She retired from H.E.B. after many years. Her passion was growing beautiful flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Nancy Sue Stroud. She is survived by her son William Buckberry and his wife Linda of Austin, TX; daughters, Brenda Green and husband Tom of Arlington, TX and Marsha Gilmore and husband Bill of Waco, TX; one sister, Juanita Smith and husband Carl of Waco, TX; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
