SHANKS, JASON RICHARD Jason Richard Shanks, age 24, of Waco died Saturday, July 27, 2002, in Miami, Florida as a result of an automobile-pedestrian accident. Services will be held at 9:30AM Saturday, August 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., with Rev. Gene Creamer officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:30-8:30PM Friday, August 9 at the funeral home. Jason was born November 16, 1977 in Waco, was a graduate of Waco Christian School and had recently made profession of faith at Bosque Valley Baptist Church. He had been employed at Texas Central Title Company. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Virgil Shanks and Alton Kirk, Sr. Survivors include parents, Ron and Ernestine Shanks; brother, Marcus Shanks, grandmothers, Barbara Brown and Erna Kirk, and step-grandmother, Betty Shanks, all of Waco. Pallbearers will be Heath Atkinson, David Hattan, Paul Nardell, Trey Scherwitz, Bill Searcy and Chris Spears. Memorials may be made to Bosque Valley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 247, Clifton, TX 76634.
