Jean Ann was born August 12, 1929, in Stanberry, Missouri, to Lawrence and Anna Laura Webber. She attended a small country school and graduated from Albany High School in 1947. Jean Ann attended Northwest Missouri Teachers College for four summers while teaching in a one-room country school during the school year. She married Jim Wayman on June 4, 1950 and raised three children. During their marriage they made their home in Missouri, Kansas and the last 42 years in Texas. Jim started college at the age of 32 and Jean Ann helped him obtain his bachelor's and master's degrees while raising a family. Education was very important to her even though she only completed two years of college. This is evidenced by the levels of education achieved by her children and grandchildren. Jean Ann was a member of First Baptist Church in Hamilton. Her faith in God was an important part of her life and over the years she demonstrated the love of Christ to everyone she encountered. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. After Jim's death, Jean Ann moved to The Stilwell Retirement Residence in Waco where she enjoyed making new friends, working in the library, serving on the Resident's Council and various activities. Jean Ann was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Texas Rangers and the Baylor Bears. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Wayman, in 2011; and grandsons, Landon and Bryant Wayman. She is survived by son, Larry Wayman and wife, Jean; daughters, Sue Ann Lewis and husband, Bill and Jill Scott and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Nathan Lewis and wife, Heather, Lindsay Schindler and husband, Anthony, Browning Wayman and wife, Taylor, Dana Walker and husband, Jarred, Kara Scott, Larson Wayman and wife, Emily, and Shane Scott; six great grandchildren; and her sister, Carol Sue Ross.
