Jean Ann Bush, a devoted homemaker and cherished family matriarch, passed away November 17, 2024 in Fort Worth, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and familial devotion. Born on June 3, 1952, in Temple, to the late Orville and Mary Crocker. Jean grew up filled with dreams and aspirations. She graduated from Temple High School and furthered her education at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Her warm spirit and nurturing nature would define her life as she embraced the role of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Visitation to honor Jean's life will be held November 21, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco. A funeral service honoring Jean's faith will be the following day, November 22, 2024, at 1:30 PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 New Road in Waco, followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
Jean married her love, Thomas Henry Bush, December 27, 1972, and together they traveled life's journey, creating a home rich with laughter and cherished memories. Her children, Anthony Wayne Bush and his wife, Shanda, Henry Robert Bush and his wife, Amanda, and her beloved daughter, Tammy Bush, were the light of her life. She radiated pride and joy in every moment spent with her three grandchildren, Dana Renee Barrington, Terah Grace Bush, and Paisley Elaine Bush, whose lives she touched deeply.
Family was the cornerstone of Jean's existence. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to caring for her loved ones, always making time for a listening ear or a comforting hug. Her passion for sewing and quilting also shone through as she lovingly crafted handmade treasures, infused with warmth and affection, which will be cherished for generations to come.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Thomas Bush; her loving children, and cherished grandchildren, along with her sister, Margaret Crocker, and her brother, George Leroy Crocker. She also leaves behind other loving family members and friends who were blessed to witness her grace and compassion firsthand.
Jean's parents, Orville Leroy and Mary Veronica Rogers Crocker, preceded her in death and she has now joined them them in eternal peace.
In this time of remembrance, those who knew Jean are invited to come together to celebrate a life beautifully lived, honoring her memory by sharing stories and recalling the warmth she brought into their lives. Jean Ann Bush will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered, forever a guiding light in the hearts of her family and friends.
