Jean Durham August 9, 1931 – December 29, 2005 Jean Durham passed away Thursday, December 29, 2005. Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, December 31, at Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Hamilton, TX at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, December 30, 2005 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jean was born August 9, 1931 in Hamilton, TX to Johnnie Marvin and Sarah Velma Winningham. Jean graduated from Hamilton High School and went to Brownwood Business College. She married Charlie Durham Sept. 14, 1952 at the home of her parents near Hamilton, Texas. She worked as a school secretary at Bryan ISD and Waco ISD at Viking Hills Elementary School. Jean and her husband, Charles, have been active members for 30 years at Western Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by husband, Charles F. Durham of Waco; daughters, Frankie Milburn and husband, Steven of Edge, TX, Terilyn Horton and husband, Hobie of Albuquerque, NM; son, Joe Durham and wife, Annette of Llano, TX; “G-ma” to her grandchildren, Jay and wife, Isabel Slovacek, Joel and Caroline Slovacek of Bryan, TX, Katie, Austin and Sarah Jean Horton of Albuquerque, NM, Charlie and Taylor Durham of Llano, TX. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. Pallbearers will be Tim Carpenter, Jerry Carpenter, John Eubank, Lamar Ewing, Jim Stone, Clyde Burleson, and Gayle Graham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cecil Carpenter and Capp Albers. Memorial donations may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church.
