Jean Hilley July 9, 1916 – January 30, 2006 Jean Hilley, 89, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Rosary will be at 6:00 pm with visitation to follow Friday, Feb. 3rd at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room, 6101 Bosque Boulevard in Waco. Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 1:30 pm, Saturday, February 4 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco with Father David Leibham officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, TX. Jean was born July 9, 1916 in Waco to Solon Bertrand Peevey, Sr and Lila Garza Peevey. Jean was a devoted homemaker and she and her husband lived in Waco, Austin, Beaumont/Nederland, Tampa, Fl, Mobile, AL and Belton/Morgan’s Point. She has been a lifelong Roman Catholic, a member of St. Louis Catholic Church of Waco until recent years where she attended the Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton, TX. Jean is survived by three sons: Michael Lewis Hilley and wife Linda of Friendswood, TX, Gregory Alan Hilley of Belton, and Gordon Mark Hilley and wife Mary of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Pauline T. Curbo of Houston and Josephine Meisch of Paris, TX; and one brother Solon B. Peevey, Jr. of Thorndale. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Alice Hilley, Christina Hilley, Jacquelyn Hilley, Emily Hilley, Colin Hilley, J.G. Hilley and Janie Hilley; and one great grandson, Brandon Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, her parents, and two sisters: Naomi Peevey Fredrick and Elizabeth Peevey Smith. Pallbearers will be nephews and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 50 Briar Hollow Lane St. 310-W, Houston, TX 77027.
