JEAN WILLIAMS Jean Carolyn Ryals Williams, age 72, of Waco, died Sunday, December 23rd, 2001 at her residence. Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, December 27th at Lake Shore Baptist Church with Dr. Brett Younger, Dr. Bob Baird and Dr. Bill Bellinger officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26th from 6:00-8:00pm at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Williams was born July 13, 1929 in Gholson, Texas to Cecil Yates Ryals and Mattie Estes. She attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High in 1947. Jean was happily married for 54 years to George Bolger Williams. They were blessed with three children, Kerry, David and Cyndi. She was a devoted wife and mother. For many years she was a district director for the Huaco Council of Camp Fire Girls and concluded her working career at Baylor University’s Moody Library in the Acquisitions Department. She received many service recognition awards, including the Campfire Gulick Award. Jean was a charter member of Lake Shore Baptist Church, which she attended for 42 years. She served as a deacon, sang in the Sanctuary Choir and played the piano for the youth group. She was preceded in death by her husband George B. Williams, her daughter Karen Kerry Jean Williams Creech, her parents and her brother Kenneth Ryals. She is survived by her daughter Cyndi and husband Steve Moore of Little Rock, AR; her son David and wife Beck Ryals of Waco; and grandchildren Kerry and Matt Moore of Little Rock, AR, Mandy Williams of Bells, TX, Tommy Williams of Austin, TX and Chris Ryals of Austin, TX; and great-grandson Dalton Williams of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her beloved cat Jeb and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be Matt Moore, Tommy Williams, Chris Ryals, Brad Ryals, John Rose and Chad Blackburn. The deacons of Lake Shore Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials made be made to Lake Shore Baptist Church Youth Building Fund and Hillcrest Community Hospice.
