Jeanette Joyce Bumgardner August 24, 1939 - November 6, 2015 Jeanette Joyce Bumgardner of China Spring passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Providence Hospital. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room in Waco. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Big Spring, Texas. Jeanette was born August 24, 1939 in Big Spring, Texas to Johnnie and Delores Patterson. She met Sgt. Frank Bumgardner on a blind date on Halloween night in 1954, which lead to marriage on the 8th of June 1956, lasting over 59 years. She was an avid outdoor enthusiast, and especially loved bird-watching. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, John Bumgardner. She is survived by her husband, of China Spring, Texas; one son, Michael Bumgardner and wife Karen of Gold River, California; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Zenke; one aunt, Joyce Dawson; a brother-in-law, Walter Bumgardner and two sisters-in-law, Jean Miller and Jane DeSarro.
