In the wee hours of the morning, May 6, 2000, Hannah Elizabeth came into our lives, making our life completely blissful. She enjoyed “Pooh Bear”, “Barney” and “Bear in the Big Blue House” and all of her friends at Our Savior Lutheran Day Care, especially, Jake. Hannah, Daddy’s “little punkin” and “sweet girl” went home with him to be with our Lord and Savior. Jeff was a loving husband and father to Holli and Hannah and paid special tribute to his deceased father on their wedding day. He cared deeply for his entire family and was always willing to help anyone. He loved animals, especially homeless dogs and cats. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed crossword puzzles and working on his various cars. He was president of the Texas RX7 Club in Austin. Jeff was a Christian and a member of Kendrick Lane Baptist Church. As a young boy, he was close to his pastor, Rev. J.A. Haley and family who had a direct influence on his Christian upbringing. He graduated from Lorena High School in 1985 and attended MCC and TSTC where he received several flight awards and his private pilot’s license. He loved flying, but went on to finish school at Texas A & M University, graduating in 1995 from the School of Engineering majoring in Industrial Distribution. He had worked for Sepco Company in Houston and later Smith Pump Company in Austin. He was a wonderful role model to his nieces and nephews and they all loved playing and sharing time with Hannah. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father and Hannah’s grandfather, David E. Sims July 27, 1994, grandparents and great grandparents, Charles E. and Ora Mae Sims and Clay Kyle Taylor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kendrick Lane Baptist Church or Fuzzy Friends Rescue. My Dearest Husband, I fell asleep last night thinking of you. And of course, those dreams, those bittersweet longings, were still with me when I awakened. Being in love with you is the most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to me but being apart from you is the most difficult. It’s like knowing there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and knowing it can’t be ours…..not yet. In the meantime, I’ll pretend you and Hannah are here, that we’re together, laughing and loving…..One day soon we will be together. Until then, I’ll see you both in my dreams, my love. Your loving wife, Holli WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
