Jeffrey Mark Obenoskey August 24, 1958 January 23, 2008 Jeffrey Mark Obenoskey, 49, unexpectedly made a quiet transition from this life early on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at his home in Waco. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel and facilitated by Rev. Kim Obenoskey. Visitation with the family will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 25th at 3020 Cumberland Ave. Jeff was born on August 24, 1958 in Merced, CA to Buddy and Mary Obenoskey. The family moved to the Waco area in 1960 and this is where Jeff spent the remainder of his life. Jeff graduated from Robinson High School in 1976. Jeff was blessed with three sons, Jay Kyle Obenoskey of Austin, Jon Kevin Obenoskey of Austin, and Chase Aaron Duckworth of Waco. The last 14 years have been spent with the love of his life and best friend, Elaine. They were introduced by mutual friends Vicky and Randy Parker of Waco and the four have enjoyed one anothers friendship almost daily since that time. Jeff loved life and demonstrated this by he and Elaine spending many hours with family, friends, and their many pets. He loved traveling, cooking, entertaining, but most often would be found helping others. Jeff enjoyed working with his brother and father at Danco Comfort Services. He gladly organized annual friend and family group cruises over the past years. Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing when time allowed. He was a source of strength and support to all those who knew him. Jeff will be missed by those already mentioned, by his maternal grandmother, Yeulalo Mauldin and husband, Howard Mauldin, parents in-law, Sam and Billie Moses and Ken and Fran Poppen; brothers, Darren Obenoskey and wife, Laura of China Spring; Craig Obenoskey and wife. Kim of Robinson; sister, Jana Obenoskey and partner Michelle LaRocque of Springfield, MA; sister-in-law, Cynthia Moses of Waco; aunt, Sharon Neighbors; cousins, Brent Neighbors and wife, Lori of Norman, OK, Todd Neighbors of Lufkin; uncle, Ty Obenoskey and wife, Susan of Sacramento, CA; cousins, Brooke, Heidi and Ian Obenoskey; and by his many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Jeff. Because of Jeffs love for animals, the family requests that memorials be made to Fuzzy Friends or Waco Humane Society. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in ourMemory Guestbook at www.wilkirsonhatchbailey.com. Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey
