Dr. Jennings Bryan Cook July 31, 1917 - December 27, 2009 Dr. Jennings Bryan “JB” Cook, 92, of Waco passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Tomball, TX. Services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Jennings Bryan was born July 31, 1917 in Erie, Oklahoma to Joseph Henry and Roxie Ann Cook. He was married to Ruth Marie Taylor for 70 years. He was a long time resident of Flatonia, TX where he practiced Optometry for over 45 years and was an avid golfer. He was a Past Master of the Flatonia Masonic Lodge 436 and was a 60+ year member. He was also a past patron of Flatonia Lodge, Chapter 813, OES and was a 50+ year member. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Marie Taylor Cook; his son, Jennings Bryan Cook, Jr.; his infant son, Clinton Allen Cook and an infant daughter. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Mildred Keilers Cook of Dickinson, TX; four granddaughters, Barsa Harclerode and husband, Marty, of Friendswood, TX, Carmen Cook of Spring, TX, Kendra Cook and Cheryl Howard of Houston, TX, and Dawn Harvey and husband, Ben, of Spring, TX; seven great-grandchildren, Bryan Allen Harclerode, McKenna Christine Harclerode, Katherine Elizabeth Harclerode, Jerry Bryan JB Harvey, Alexandra Ruth Harvey, Keiler Dain Harvey, and Keegan Lynn Cook; three brothers, Durwood and Katy Cook, Odell and Frances Cook and Leslie Cook; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Durwood Cook, Odell Cook, Leslie Cook, Dale Cook, Pat Cook, Donny Eckhardt, Marty Harclerode, Ben Harvey and Ron Smith.
