Jerry Clifford Riggs

JERRY C. RIGGS, IV Jerry Clifford Riggs, IV, born November 16, 1936 in Wichita Falls, Texas died on December 27, 2002 at the age of 66 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held at 11:30am Monday, December 30, 2002 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Pat Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial South. Visitation with the family will be 5-7pm Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the funeral home. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Movelda Riggs, his brother, Thurman G. Riggs and his great-granddaughter, Tierra Lenee’ Williams. He is survived by his wife LaRue Riggs and his children, son, J.C. Riggs and wife Debbie; daughter, Robin Washington and husband Robert; five grandchildren and two great-grand children and his aunt Billy Jim Riggs. Jerry was in the car business for 35 years. He owned Jerry Riggs Motors for 23 years. He was an avid golfer and member of Lake Waco Golf and Country Club for 20 years. He greatly enjoyed all the good times and friendships of his Lake Waco golf buddies as well as his friends from Spin-n-Win. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Murphy, Tommy Miller, Glen Crain, Mickey Mounce, Gary Strickland, R.D. Davis, and Charlie Wilson. Pallbearers will be members of the Special Detail Team of the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Hospice of Waco.
