Jerry Don White

Jerry J.D. White January 15, 1943 January 9, 2009 Jerry Don White of Waco passed away Friday, January 9, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, at First United Methodist Church of Waco with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Jerry was born January 15, 1943, in Hubbard, TX, to Lavinia and T.H. White, Jr. He attended school at Prairie Hill and graduated from Hubbard High School. He also attended Navarro College and East Texas State College. Jerry served three years in the U.S. Army. He joined Purvis Industries in 1974 where he was employed for 35 years and achieved the position of Vice-President of Sales. He will be greatly missed by family, co-workers and friends. Jerry was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco and the Band of Brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 32 years, Diane. He is survived by son Jay White and wife, Alicia; fiance, Donna Lewis; sister, Beverly Barker; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Jim J.C. Anderson, Jim Jimbo Anderson, Don Frazier, Joe Hardwick, Doyle Hill, Dan Holton, Bob Jones, Don Keister, John McNamara, Rudy Michum, Stacy Mikkelsen, John Minnix, Billy Power, Bob Purvis, Gary Stockton, Steve Syfert, Jackson Tooker, Jack Wake, Les Wheeler, Jerry Wilson, and Bob Zeh.
