Jerry Lloyd Rydel Jerry L. Rydel passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 1 at Waco Memorial North Cemetery with Rev. David Story officiating. Jerry was born August 15, 1939 in Abbott, TX to Rudolph Andrew Rydel and Edna Province Rydel. He married Willie Klaus on June 2, 1962. Jerry has been a lifelong Baptist. He was retired from L3 and was a life long truck driver. He loved the outdoors and deer hunting and had a special love for his family. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 478. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Andrew Rydel and brother, Larry Rydel. He is survived by his loving wife, Willie Rydel; Godson, Kyle Klaus and his wife, Lori and their son, Kade; mother, Edna Province Rydel. sister, Shirley McCoy and husband, Charles and their daughter, Sherry and son, Bryan. And sister-in-law: Pat Rydel and her sons, Hayes and Russell. Numerous nieces, nephews and special friends and “Boo” his cat he loved dearly. Pallbearers are Kyle Klaus, Donnie Lynch, Floyd Brittain, Manford Schlottmann, Chuck Beghtel and Rox Eskew. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. B. B. Chang, the 7th floor and MICU nurses at Hillcrest for their care, dedication and support during this difficult time.
