NEUMANN, JESSIE ANN Jessie Ann Neumann, 92, of Waco, died Sunday, December 1, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 10am Thursday, December 5 at Waco Memorial North with Rev. David Leibham officiating. Visitation will begin at 6pm, Wednesday, December 4 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. The Rosary and Vigil Service will be held at 7pm with additional visitation to follow until 9pm. Jessie was born in Houston to Anthony and Margurite Guzzardo on November 17, 1910. She moved to Waco as a child when her parents established a grocery and meat market on Brook Avenue. She worked in the family business until her marriage to John A. Neumann on June 22, 1930. Jessie and Johnny were married 58 years. She took great pride in her home and flower garden. She was a devoted wife and mother, a talented seamstress and enjoyed playing the organ. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Jessie was a devoted Christian lady and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She missed Johnny so much that every day she kissed his picture. Now she will be so happy to be reunited with him in Heaven Survivors include her daughter, Betty Ruth and husband, Richard Stevens of Winter Park, Florida; five grandchildren: R. Douglas Stevens and wife, Cindy of Waco, Linda Cowart and husband, Mark of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ann Hoy and husband, Jeffrey of Melbourne, Florida, Michael Stevens and wife, Jennifer of Auburn, Alabama, John Stevens and wife, Ann of Winter Park, Florida and eleven great grandchildren.
