Jewel Denard April 30, 1914 - October 19, 2009 Jewel Denard of Waco went to be with her Lord Monday, October 19, 2009. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Pastors Dan Malone and James Adams officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jewel was born April 30, 1914, in Water Valley, Mississippi. She was employed at Waco Apparel for 35 years. She was a longtime member of Landmark Baptist Church. Lee said, "she was a great mother-in-law, and always considered him to be her son." She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Allen; and sister, Lucile Bottoms; and step-granddaughter, Connie Wells. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Butler and husband, Lee; brothers, J.B.Allen and wife, Willie; and Milburn Allen; step-son, Howard Denard and wife, Ernestine; step-daughter, Faye Reeves and husband, Bernice; her very, special friends, Judy and Stanley Peters; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
