MRS. C. TROY JEWELL HOLLOWAYCARROLL Mrs. C. Troy Carroll Jewell Holloway Carroll, age 96, formerly of 315 N. 15th St., Waco, went to be with the Lord she loved on Sunday, November 10, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 1pm Thursday, November 14 at Bold Springs Cemetery in West with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 9am-12noon Thursday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington Ave. Mrs. Carroll was born August 17, 1906 in West, graduated from West High School and moved to Waco in 1923. She graduated from Baylor University in 1927 and taught mathematics in Waco junior high schools. She was married to C. Troy Carroll February 23, 1928, he preceded her in death June 23, 1980. She was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church over 79 years, Past President of the Women’s Missionary Union and member of the Hannah Sunday School Class. She was Past Matron of Centennial Chapter #842 Order of the Eastern Star, Past President of the Social Order of the Beauceant and Past Supreme Counselor of the Supreme Auxiliary of United Commercial Travelers. She was a member of Baylor Heritage Alumni Association and Past President of the Waco Grandmothers Club. Survivors include sons, Charles Gene Carroll of Kingwood and Bill W. Carroll of Hewitt; daughter, Mrs. Peggy Stubblefield of Mesquite; nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Carroll, Clayton Carroll, Steven Stubblefield, and Wesley Sullivan.
