Jill Ann Jones of Waco passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her residence. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, at First Baptist Church of Woodway with the Rev. Chris Sammons officiating. Burial will follow at Mart Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Jill was born October 8, 1959 in Waco, Texas, to Calvin Curtis (C.C.) Jones and Betty Jo Benoit Jones. She graduated from Mart High School Class of 1978, Texas Tech University finance major in 1983 and Southwestern School of Banking in 2001. During high school and college breaks, Jill worked at Farmers & Merchants National Bank, Bank of America during 1983-1991, Community Bank and Trust as Senior Vice President (1st woman ever to hold this title) 1991 to present. Jill was active in the Northwest Waco Rotary Club, the first woman to hold the title of president of this club, holding every other position. She was on the board and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Jill was a former member of First Baptist Church of Mart, holding positions of pre-school choir director and pianist of primary departments, directed by Betty Jones. More recently she was active at First Baptist Church Woodway and was formerly pre-school choir teacher. She was preceded in death by her mother; and her brother, Barry Neil Jones. She is survived by her father, C.C. Jones, of Mart; brothers, Calvin Curtis Jones, Jr. and wife, Janet and Keith Thomas Jones and wife, Laura; uncle, Elliott (Buck) Ables; nieces and nephews, Magan Denise Jones, Holly and Bret Kleypas, Travis and Lindsey Jones and Tyler Hinds Jones; and numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers are Travis Jones, Tyler Jones, Bret Kleypas, Bruce Kemp, Alan Smith, Bruce Harrell and Hunter Harrell. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Wayland, David Lacy, Bob Williams, David Anderton, Charlie Rigney, Dr. Charles Dulaney and Jim Kemp. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Woodway or the First Baptist Church of Mart. No flowers please.
