MIZE, JIMMIE Jimmie Mize, age 77, of Waco died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, February 7 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Dr. Jerald Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, February 6 at the funeral home. Jimmie was born August 29, 1926 in Moody to Melvin and Vivian Cooper Mize. He worked at Hack Branch Distributing for 32 years, retiring in 1981. He was involved with Lake Air Little League for over 30 years as officer and president of the park. He was a member of Lakewood Christian Church. He truly loved working with all the kids at Little League and loved baseball and football. Survivors include wife, Doris Mize of Waco; daughter, Patricia Lynn Jenkins and husband, Charles of Arlington; son, Robert Mize and wife, Carol Jo of Waco; grandchildren, Amy and Chad Jenkins and Macey, Meagan, and Michael Mize; sisters, Melva Dean Morrow and husband, Woodrow of Waco; brother, Kenneth Wayne Mize and wife, Rita of Moffett, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Raymond Redding, J. W. Collins, Stuart Redding, Trey Miller, Charles Jenkins, and Hack Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakewood Christian Church or Lake Air Little League.
