Jimmy Gonzales, Sr. August 23, 1947 - January 17, 2015 Jimmy Gonzales, Sr. of Waco went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at his home. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. John Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., and the prayer service will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Jimmy was born August 23, 1947, in Waco, Texas, to Ambrosio Gonzales and Porfiria Gonzales Gutierrez. He graduated from Waco High and worked for the City of Waco for several years and retired from M&M Mars. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboy and a Baylor Bear fan. Jimmy was a born again Christian and a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Waco. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Melanie A. Gonzales of Waco; daughters, Cindy Kocher and Shady Gonzales; sons, Jimmy Gonzales, Jr. and wife, Martha, and Gilbert Anthony Gonzales and fiancee, Melissa Moreno; grandchildren, Jacob Kocher, Hunter Jahnke, Marcus Anthony Jaramillo, Vanessa Marie Jimenez, Gilbert Anthony Gonzales, Jr., Mikel Gonzales and Christoper Gonzales; and brother, Alex Gutierrez and wife, Kathy. Pallbearers are Alex Gutierrez, Jimmy Gonzales, Jr., Gilbert Anthony Gonzales, Joe Martinez, Jr., Mikel Gonzales and Frank Mendez.
