J. J. Ragan, 82 of Waco, died Friday, August 27, 2004 at his residence. Services will be held at 11:30am Monday, August 30 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Billy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 2-4pm Sunday, August 29 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Ragan was born March 19, 1922 in Memphis, Tennessee to Victor and Virginia Ragan. He was reared and educated in Tennessee. He married Gracie M. Haney December 22, 1952. They moved to Waco in May 1961. She preceded him in death November 26, 1996. He retired as a maintenance man at AMA in Waco. Survivors include son, Jim Taylor of Waco; grandchildren, Glenda Hyatt and husband, Jay of Valdosta, Georgia, Kim Walker and husband, Walter of Waco, Bryan Taylor and wife, Trisha of Fort Worth and Matthew Parker of Waco; and great grandchildren, Laura, Autumn, Jordan and Trey.
