Jodie W. Ludwig February 12, 1933 - June 10, 2013 Jodie W. Ludwig of Waco passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, at Trinity at Badger Ranch Church, 2 Ritchie Road, Woodway TX 76712, with the Pastor Jim Menke officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Jodie was born February 12, 1933, in Clifton, Texas, to Tilden and Lena Ludwig. He was a home builder and a cabinet maker, the quality of his work spoke for itself. Jodie has been a lifelong Lutheran and a member of Trinity at Badger Ranch Church in Woodway. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Helen Kay Ludwig. He is survived by his loving wife, Tommie Shelnutt Ludwig, of Waco; daughters, Patsy Ann Smith and husband, Rodger Dale, of Valley Mills, TX, Peggy Jean Holcomb and husband, Jim, of McGregor, TX, Opal Roxann Lewallen and husband, Gregory, of Waco, and Rhonda Alves and husband, Ron, of Pennsylvania; sons, Jimmy Fred Ludwig of Waco and J. Cyle Sharp and wife, Sharla, of New Mexico; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Buro Churnesky and husband, Tom, of China Spring, TX; brothers, Edward Ludwig of Houston, Raymond Ludwig and wife, Janette, of Bellmead, TX, Kenneth Ludwig and wife, Dorothy, of Waco, and T. J. Sonny Ludwig and wife, Carol, of China Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Chris Bilbrey, Roger Ludwig, Ronnie Ludwig, Jerry Buro, Tim Pope, John Ludwig and Larry Buro. The family expresses their sincere thanks to Oak Unit, Wesley Woods, and Providence Hospice for the excellent care.
