Joe Alexander Jimenez

January 3, 1957 — March 25, 2021

Joe Alexander Jimenez passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. Louis Catholic Church. Joe was born January 3, 1957, in Waco, Texas, to JB and Maria Jimenez. He was a graduate of Reicher Catholic High School. Joe spent forty-two years mastering his craft of fine jewelry and became a Master Jeweler. He was loving and real, a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother. He cherished family and friends dearly. Joe’s beautiful spirit will live on forever through all he loved and all who loved him. He was also very active in baseball, umpiring chapters, national and local. He loved the game and he was a fantastic mentor. Joe loved family more than he loved himself. He loved being a Grandfather the most. He loved watching them learn and it made life worth living for him despite his illness. Joe fought a strong and brave battle for well over a year. He took each day in stride, never really complained; always feeling tired and frustrated, but always fighting to get better. WHAT A FIGHTER HE WAS for his family. He was preceded in death by his father, JB Jimenez; and son Colin Jimenez. He is survived by his mother Maria Jimenez of Waco; wife Wendy Jimenez of Hubbard; daughter Bailee Garrett and husband Austin; two grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth-Marie and Loralai Lynn Garrett of Hubbard; brothers Orlando Jimenez, Robert Jimenez, Danny Jimenez, Henry Jimenez of Waco; and sister Olga Jimenez Schrock, of Waco. Joe has nine nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. A poem: Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, but remember me with every tomorrow. Remember the joy: the laughter; the smiles I’ve only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, My going has eased my hurt, and given me relief. So, dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all, and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of each of you. The family invites you to leave a message or memory on our "Tribute Wall" at www.WHBfamily.com.
