John Bruce January 13, 1944 - September 6, 2015 John Bruce of Waco passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. His memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. John was born January 13, 1944, in Tallahassee, Florida, to John and Lille Randle. He was in the U.S. Army and retired after 28 years, and he continued to serve the veterans of his country for 22 years at the VA Hospital in Waco. He was a very dedicated husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Otis Pye; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Hattie M. Bruce of Waco; sons, Carlas Williams Sherry, and John Bruce; daughters, Pamela Harris Ball George, Lillie Mae Edwards Bobby, and Valaria Bruce; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sisters, Louise Brown Riley, Trudye Way Spencer, Linda Gainous and Clara Randle; brothers, Bobby Bruce Gail, John H. Randle, and Shed Randle Debra; his uncle, Willie Bruce Susie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
