John Joseph Mendoza February 23, 1966 - January 2, 2015 John Joseph Mendoza of Waco passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at his home. His memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Darrell Price officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. John was born on February 23rd, 1966, in Waco, Texas to John Chon and Isabel Mendoza. He was a devoted father, husband, brother, son, and friend. John loved having his children and wife at his side. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed barbequing, camping, fishing, riding his Harley Leroy, and spending time with family and friends. John held these relationships very close to his heart, and truly treasured each person that came into his life. He was a dedicated biker and considered his biker friends his brothers and sisters. John believed in living life to the fullest and left many precious memories that will be cherished forever. John graduated from West Mesa High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1985. He was a man of many trades, first being a pressman with Tatex and Firmin Business Forms, and later becoming an electrician with Bowen Electric Company. He highly enjoyed being an electrician, and considered his co-workers his extended family. John was always willing to lend a hand, and used his many trades to help anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his father, John Chon Mendoza and nephew, Butch Howard. John is survived by his wife and best friend, Michelle; his sons, Jacob, Carl, and Garrett; daughters, Giuliana and Jaci. He is also survived by his mother, Isabel Mendoza; siblings, Janie Romo and husband, Johnny; Gloria Ramos and husband, Gilbert, all of Waco; Melinda Chavez and husband, Don; Andrew Mendoza and wife, Dee, both of New Mexico; Nora McLaughlin and Annette Flores of Waco; numerous loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
