John King Knudson March 31, 1920 - May 2, 2006 John Knudson of Woodway passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 5, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. John was born March 31, 1920 in Cleveland, OH to Amandus Theodore Knudson and Stella Knudson. John attended schools in Cleveland and received a B. S. Degree in Agriculture from Penn State. He played football for Penn State and attended graduate school at Baylor University. John married Norma Adams July 17, 1943. He served in WWII-Army Infantry Division in the Pacific. They moved to Waco in 1946 and returned to Ohio in 1954. He was an Industrial Sales Engineer in Ohio and Pennsylvania for a number of years and was an independent sales representative for Industrial Products for 20 years. He returned to Waco in 1980 and retired in 1981. John was a Mason, member of York Rite and Scottish Rite Bodies and Karen Temple. John was a member of First Baptist Church of Hewitt. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Norma Knudson, in November, 2005. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Alvin R. Adams and wife, Jean Carol of Waco. Memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital or to Oakwood Cemetery Association.
