John Kirkland Duncan, Jr.

DUNCAN, JOHN John Kirkland Duncan, Jr., 77, of Waco, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2005 at a hospital in Temple. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 11, at Rosemound cemetery with Rev. Barry Camp officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 10 from 12:00pm until 9:00pm at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey. Mr. Duncan was born December 5, 1927 in Waco, Texas. He attended schools here and graduated from Waco High in 1946. He served in WWII from June 3, 1946 to May 17, 1947 and Korean War from November 5, 1950 to May 13, 1952. Mr. Duncan was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He worked in purchasing and supply at Rocketdyne for 14 years and also worked in purchasing for TSTI for four years. He was employed with the Waco VA Medical Center and Olin Teague VA Medical Center in Temple as a ward clerk for 8 years. Survivors include daughter, Connie Jean VanLeer; sons, David Carlton Duncan of Arlington, Kevin Ray Duncan of San Diego, CA. WILKIRSON HATCH BAILEY
