John Louie Dykstra January 14, 1958 - March 24, 2012 John Louie Dykstra was taken to his Heavenly Father on Saturday March 24, 2012. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, at Redeemer Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Hatton officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.Thursday, March 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. He was born to Louis and Tena Dykstra on Jan 14, 1958, in Barrhead, Alberta, Canada. He married Yvonne Selles on July 6, 1979, and they lived together in Barrhead before relocating to Waco, Texas in 2008. John was an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Waco. John thoroughly enjoyed his work; he loved snowmobiling, he loved sports including hockey and golf, and he loved to spend time with his family. John is survived by his wife, Yvonne Dykstra; and three children, Colleen and Adrian Harthoorn of Waco, Texas; Curtis and Shelley Dykstra of Lethbridge, Alberta; and Kevin Dykstra, of Barrhead, Alberta. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Ethan Harthoorn 10, Braeden Harthoorn 7, Naleah Harthoorn 5, McKenna Harthoorn 2 and Reid Dykstra 1.
