John Man Mehaffey, Sr.

John Man Mehaffey, 84, passed away December 6, 2023, at West Houston Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Dick Elwood officiating.

John was born and raised in Waco, Texas. He attended Baylor University, and then moved to Houston where he attended the University of Houston. In November of 1966, John Man Mehaffey married Jeanette Mathews. He went to school for drafting and eventually became a senior pipe designer. John didn’t have many hobbies, but one of his true loves was hunting with his boys.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Mathews Mehaffey; his son, John Mehaffey Jr; and his son, Jeff Michael Mehaffey.
