John “Mark” Davis, 65, passed into eternal rest March 13, 2024.
A private family memorial service will be held to honor his life.
Mark was born on July 17, 1958, to Billy Van Davis and Ava Allene Davis in Waco. He attended Richfield High School and was self-employed owning a painting company and later a roofing company.
Mark loved the outdoors, spending many afternoons entertaining family and friends on his houseboat at Lake Waco. He was an avid hunter in earlier years, and also enjoyed deep sea fishing. Additionally, Mark loved to travel and was able to visit many fascinating destinations across the globe, which included many beaches as well as traveling to Europe.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Ava Allene Davis; and his older brother, Michael Van Davis.
He is survived by his children, son, Eric Shane Davis and wife Kelly of Houston, his daughter, Ashley Pledger and husband Drew of Maumelle, Arkansas; as well as his seven grandchildren; he is also survived by his father, Billy Van Davis of Dallas; and brother, Mitchell Davis, also of Dallas.
