John Oliver Johnson

JOHNSON, JOHN OLIVER John Oliver Johnson, age 93 of Waco, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm Friday, March 26 at Bosqueville Cemetery with Rev. David Story officiating. Mr. Johnson was born October 25, 1910 in Bosqueville, Texas to T. P. and Edna Earle Jenkins Johnson. He graduated from Waco High, Class of 1929, afterward attending Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio. He farmed and ranched in McGregor, Texas until he retired. He moved to Waco from McGregor in 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred Edith Johnson, daughter, Edna Gail Gutierrez and husband, Leroy Gutierrez of Fort Sumner, New Mexico; sons, John Earl Johnson and wife, Alice of Houston and Charles Oliver Johnson of Waco; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or Royal Manor Nursing Home.
