HANCOCK, JOHN John R. Hancock, age 90, of Waco died Friday, June 22, 2001 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 23rd at Waco Memorial Park with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation with the family will be 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Saturday, June 23rd at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Hancock was born June 14, 1911 in Sylvan, TX to John Robert and Frances Maude Hancock. He married June Farnsworth April 12, 1941 in Lincoln, Neb. She preceded him in death November 24, 2000. He was a resident of Waco since 1942. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and was stationed at Waco Army Air Field. He was a retired accountant with the VA Hospital retiring in the early ‘70’s. Survivors include: Sons: Bill Hancock and wife, Marie of Athens Mike Hancock and wife, Louise of Seabrook Brother: George Hancock of Bogata Grandchildren: Julie Bennett, David Hancock, Greg Hancock, and Matt Hancock. Great grandchildren: Lexie Bennett and Stephen Bennett Several nieces Memorials may be made to Providence and Community Hospice Groups. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
