John W. Williams passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021. Services will be 1:30 pm, Friday, November 12, 2021, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room with Rev. John DeGiorgo officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 pm-1:30 pm, Friday, November 12, 2021 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. John was born April 23, 1937, in Waco, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Williams. John worked at Armco Steel as an electrician for 30 years in Houston. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Williams; and his son, Bert Mayes. He is survived by his wife, Melba Williams; daughters, Louise Reed, Renee Mayes, Pamela Clark, and Leslie Schmitt; and his brother, Billy Williams, as well as his ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Reed, Josh Reed, Jenny Kimble, Alan Schmitt, Gabe Schmitt and Lilly Ann Milford.
