Johnnie was born December 18, 1935, in Bell County, Texas, to John Clifford and Gladys Culp Buster. Johnnie's strong work ethic led him to his long career with Lacy Feed Company/Plantation Foods. He worked for the Lacys for 36 years, starting his career as a truck driver, later becoming Feed Mill Manager, and then concluding his career as Cattle Operation Manager. He also managed his own successful cattle operation, where he was known to have "the fattest cows" around. Johnnie married Annie Mae Warren on July 11, 1956, and they were blessed with 3 children. He was preceded in death by Annie; his parents; and his siblings, Tom, Janet, Lacelia, Lillie, Calvin, and Joe. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lorena Manning Buster; and his pride and joy – his family: sons, Clifford Don “Donnie” Buster and Jimmy Buster and wife, Tonna; daughter, Janice Vonasek and husband, Bert; eight grandchildren, Grayson John, Kristen, Kelly, Drew, Anna, Ellis, Brenna, and Beth; and four great grandchildren, Kylie, Hunter John, Elliot John, and Kennedy. He is also survived by his siblings, Vera, Marcia, and Clyde; and a host of extended family members and good friends. Johnnie loved and cared for his family and friends and would do anything for them. He left behind a legacy and will be greatly missed.
